Many of the artists and writers are local and choose to exhibit their work at many
of of the Festival's booths. Learn to throw a castnet or shuck an oyster. Fun for
the whole family.
Camp Gordon Johnston Reunion
Second weekend of March, the city of Carrabelle welcomes back these brave soldiers
who trained at this World War II training facility. Events include a parade on Saturday
morning. Static displays of W.W. II uniforms, equipment and weapons.
Big Bend Saltwater Classic
June. Fathers' Day Weekend. Carrabelle is the Tournament Headquarters for the largest
non-profit saltwater fishing tournament in North Florida. Six Hundred plus anglers
compete for $50,000 in cash and prizes. The BBSC is a non-profit fundraiser for
the Organization for Artificial Reefs. Watch as the day's catches are weighed in.
Parade of Lights on the Carrabelle River
