The
“Forgotten Coast” in Florida's Panhandle is one of the most
desirable regions anywhere to live or invest and here’s why:
1. Value. Waterfront property has historically always
been an excellent investment. While nationwide the market
may ebb and flow, homes and land near or on the water tend
to hold their value if not appreciate in value. It’s no
exception here. In fact, thanks to the various features of
the Forgotten Coast, its been one of the nation’s leaders in
solid real estate investment.
2. Fun. On the Forgotten Coast you have three
different places to enjoy the water. The rivers, the bays
and the gulf. The Apalachicola River is part of the
Intracoastal Waterway which is navigable from Carrabelle, FL
to Brownsville, TX. Canoe, kayak, water-ski, explore. It’s
beautiful. The pristine Apalachicola Bay is known around the
world for its plentiful and delicious oysters. Grab your
tongs and a bottle of hot sauce! If you’d rather deep-sea
fish, there’s always the Gulf of Mexico. Not to mention the
white sand beaches of St. George Island and Cape San Blas.
3. Pace of life. No one’s in a rush on the Forgotten
Coast. Why should they be? Everything has remained
practically the same for the last 100 years or so. Highway
98 meanders along the beautiful coast. Walk or ride your
bike to the charming boutiques and award-winning restaurants
housed in 19th century cotton warehouses in Apalachicola.
Move here and you’ll soon be a part of the friendly and
vibrant community, but you’ll find no hustle, no bustle, no
stress and very little traffic.
If you’re thinking of investing, moving, or just looking for
a place to escape the cold, there’s no place better than the
Forgotten Coast. Give me a call or drop me a line and I’ll
be happy to help you with any questions you have! |
